As 2020 comes to a close...

There are countless blessings despite the chaotic transformation this year has brought upon the world. One thing remains, God is faithful, sovereign, and providential. He doesn't shift or change and continues to show up and move in mighty ways.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Like many of you, when 2020 kicked-off, we had no idea that the “Normal World” could drastically turn upside down. Perhaps, for some of us, more than others. Regardless, we all experienced these chaotic transformations. Incredibly, one thing remains, which is God's providential sovereignty. It was knowing that God had us in the palm of His hand and that everything was going to work for the good of those who love Him according to His purposes (Romans 8:28).

With that, we want to share with you what the Lord has accomplished through Welcome To My Father’s House Ministry as many of you walked this year with us through prayers and generous giving.

2020 Reflections:

Prior to the Pandemic, we worked nonstop, and we saw God move in countless ways:

  • School Started Successfully in Tabacal. Both Elementary and High School students received all the school supplies from our Partnership with Kids Venture Club Guatemala.

  • The High School Program Started with twenty-nine Students of which four were in preparation for graduation.

  • Windows and Doors were installed throughout the Tabacal Community Building.

  • VBS, Entrepreneurship Women workshops, and community outreach took place which blessed local programs.

  • Dental and Medical Clinics were held for hundreds of men, women, and children, providing medical care and dental cleaning for everyone who participated.

The transformation:

On March 13, our last mission teams flew back home safely. Immediately following that, on March 14, we were informed all schools were shutting down in Guatemala. That day, we were able to drive up to Tabacal, pray with our students, bless them, and encourage them to be a light in their communities and implement how they've been equipped in the area of health and wellness in order to help their families and communities stay healthy.

During the Pandemic, we stopped and saw God continue to move in miraculous ways:

  • Over 29,000 pounds of food were distributed among seven different areas in Guatemala, through the Basket of Love program. Aiding many families.

  • The Tabacal community worked diligently to keep its families healthy and thousands of gallons of purified water processed in the purification water plant.

  • Even though Schools in Guatemala were shutting down for the rest of the year, our teachers took on the challenge. They printed out weekly curriculum and lesson plans to distribute them to the students across three different communities. While America Latina, the school that supervises their work, was doing the follow up to verify their work and review their reports. It was certainly a community effort!

Celebrating the Future

We are blessed to inform you that the twenty-nine students who started the school year completed their grade and off to the next grade level, with four of those students successfully graduated from High School.

  • Sabina G C - Bachiller Ciencias y Letras -

  • Heidi S - Perito Contadora - Accounting

  • Kayla T J - Secretariado Comercial - Comercial Secretary

  • Jonatan S G -Perito Contador – Accounting

On Dec 21, God allows for a small graduation ceremony to take place for these four students who were the first ones in their family’s history to ever graduate from High School. We could not have let this milestone pass without giving thanks to the Lord while celebrating with the students and their families. We have known most of these students since they were seven years old. Now, they are teenagers with proper education to help them propel forward in life. Our sincere gratitude on behalf of Welcome to My Father’s House and their families to all of you who have prayed and gave to make this possible.

Even though we don’t know how things will unfold, we look forward to 2021. And through faith, we’re anticipating a year full of blessings. We press on to continue sharing the Gospel and empowering the Guatemalan people to reach their God-given potential.

May God’s peace be with you as the year 2020 comes to a close. May God’s definitive promises fill your lives this coming 2021.

How to give?
